Self-heal of changing external volume names (for tracks that go gray after a drive remount). Expanded artwork metadata support.
Recent 2.x updates also brought pre/post-effects metering, post-fader metering, silent scrub, drag/drop autoplay, stronger metadata fallback handling, default Effect UIs, expanded plugin support, Effect Presets, SRC controls, Playlist sort columns, better window management, external audio interface handling, and visual refinement.
Fidelia 2 is a complete rebuild. The app is rewritten in Swift on a new C++ audio engine with no legacy dependencies, while keeping the familiar interface intact. Fidelia Advanced features are now built into the core app.
The rebuilt DSP engine adds mastering-grade processing including psychoacoustic dither, frequency-dependent headphone crossfeed, and dual-engine reference sample rate conversion.
Fidelia 2 also adds batch artwork lookup, format conversion with dither, Music.app sync, DSD and APE import to Apple Lossless without loss of dynamic range, expanded Fidelia Remote controls, and truly gapless playback.

v1.5.81 is the current version, dated 03/24/2023. There's an Intel trial version of v1.6.5 available at the dev site. The site itself is out-of-date and unfinished. There is no Blog, no Account, and no Store. This bodes poorly for the app, sad to say. 🤕

I love Fidelia I have been using it for a few years now BUT what I wanted to know is are you guys going to make a Windows version? I have to run both now and I miss Fidelia badly when on the Windows OS.....

First purchased in 2011. I have, and continue to try many other media players and can find none that sound better. Admittedly the money I spent on various bits of hardware is approaching silly proportions - notably a series of ever more expensive DACs. Beyond that, the AU compatible plugins I purchased for the various DAWs I use for production are useable in Fidelia. Five stars are not enough.

Audio is great! but unless you have internet it continuously is checking to see if it was purchased . Fidelia has ruined playback on my shows.

Fiddle just keeps getting better and better. The sound from it is just wonderful and I'm glad Audiofile Engineering continues to add subtle features/improvements.
